Waste: how to transform plastic bottles into energy
The future possibility of recycling plastics in an economical way, that will produce clean energy comes from America. The project involves the use of millions of plastic bottles and caps.

The so-called Plastic Plan plans the processing of these plastic bottles in thousands of cubes that can float on the sea surface and, once joined together, can create offshore structures suitable to produce energy or useful to be used as storage sites. On the base of the structure  hydraulic pumps powered by solar wind or tide energy can be fixed , in order to pump water inside a reservoir.

The  water piped inside the structure is then released on hydroelectric turbines located at the base of a dam. Basically the process  uses the floating energy produced by solar, wind or tide pumps,  to convert it to a more stable and clean form of energy. The electricity thus produced could be easily conveyed to the mainland and put in the electricity network.
